There are no medications at school for the nurse to give students, with the exception of Benadryl, for allergic reactions
ONLY. If you would like for your child to be able to receive Tylenol, Ibuprofen, cough drops, etc. then you will have to bring it in to the nurse and fill out the proper paperwork. If it is a prescription medication, a permission form must be signed by the parent and the child's prescribing physician and must match the directions on the prescription bottle. Medication must be brought in by an ADULT and will not be accepted from a student.

Helpful Tips - YourClutteredSpace

Parents that have a child with any medical concerns, physical handicaps, asthma, diabetes, heart or seizure disorder, food or bee sting allergy, etc. need to meet with the school nurse to discuss your child’s health needs.  It is important that you fill out the required papers so we can assist your child with any medical needs that may arise during the school year. All care plans and forms must be updated every year and every time a change is made.

  • Please encourage your child to eat breakfast at home or school every day.
  • For the safety of everyone please do not send your child to school if they are sick.
  • If your child is on medication, please request a separate bottle from the pharmacy for the school clinic.  All medicine must be in the original container with correct directions and time of administration.
