Principal's Page

I am absolutely thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Huddleston Elementary School for the 2025–2026 school year! With a new year comes fresh beginnings, endless possibilities, and a world of opportunities to SOAR—and I couldn’t be more excited to join this incredible school community.

As a proud product of Bedford County Public Schools, I grew up here and am honored to now give back to the community that shaped me. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Lynchburg, and this year marks my 31st year in education—all of which have been spent in elementary schools. Throughout my career, I’ve had the joy of teaching every grade level from Kindergarten to sixth grade (except fifth), and I remain deeply passionate about learning and helping children become the best version of themselves.

At the heart of my educational philosophy is the belief that student success is built on strong partnerships between home and school. When families and educators work together, amazing things happen. As parents and guardians, you entrust us with the most precious part of your life—your child. It is both an honor and a responsibility we take very seriously. Our goal is to nurture, support, and champion every student, every day.

I feel truly blessed to be part of the Huddleston community, and I look forward to getting to know each of you as we embark on this journey together. Here's to a fantastic school year ahead!

Warmly,

Lisa Wilson
